PSG ended Inter Miami’s Club World Cup run in emphatic fashion with a 4–0 victory at Mercedes‑Benz Stadium in Atlanta, knocking out Messi and Co. from the tournament. João Neves netted a brace, an own goal from Tomás Avilés added insult to injury, and Achraf Hakimi sealed the rout, all before halftime.

The match’s opening salvo came just six minutes in, when Paulo Vitinha floated a free kick into the box and João Neves ghosted behind the defense to head home cleanly. Neves struck again in the 39th minute, converting a precise assist from Fabián Ruiz to make it 2–0.

Things only got worse for Miami in stoppage time. Tomás Avilés turned a loose ball into his own net, and Hakimi pounced on the crossbar’s rebound to hammer in the fourth before the break.  Incredibly, all four goals were scored before halftime in a ruthless display.

Despite a more spirited second-half showing, with Messi forcing a smart save and Suárez drawing a save from Donnarumma, it was too little, too late. Miami’s aging core couldn’t match PSG’s relentless pressing and tactical intensity.

PSG coach Luis Enrique praised the dominant first-half display, saying it marked PSG as strong contenders for a historic clean sweep, having already secured Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and the Champions League titles. With Miami out, PSG now shift focus to Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals.
