Inter Miami kicked off the Club World Cup with a goalless draw versus Al Ahly in front of 60,927 fans at Hard Rock Stadium.The game was tight and tense: Al Ahly dominated early, even earning a penalty in the 43rd minute, but Óscar Ustari denied Trézéguet and kept Miami in the race for the trophy.
Miami improved in the second half. Messi had a stunning free kick that hit the post, and late in stoppage time he had another curling effort saved by Al Shenawy. Fafà Picault’s late header was tipped over the bar, leaving Miami just a couple of inches away from a winner.

Tactically, Miami regrouped at half-time. Coach Javier Mascherano noted the nervous start, but praised the second-half control, patience and pressure which turned the tide .
The draw felt earned. Miami took a point, but more importantly showed growth and resilience, and gained confidence heading into tougher group games. Ustari’s performance set the tone, and he was arguably Man of the Match.

This was also a milestone: Miami’s first-ever International Club World Cup match, and it was unbeaten from the get‑go in front of the 60,927 fans that were present that night at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
